Seeking Advice Regarding OCS Application and pending DUI Charge

Hello fellow Redditors,
I find myself in a bit of a dilemma and could use some guidance. I'm currently a senior in college, set to graduate at the end of this year, and I've been enlisted in the Army Reserves for some time now. My goal was to apply for Officer Candidate School (OCS) after graduating to further my military career.
Unfortunately, this summer, I made a regrettable mistake and was...

Square Me Away (ASU Cap)

O-5 lost at getting my dress uniform (ASU, not P&G) ready.
1) Non jump unit - are black berets completely dead regardless of the circumstance?
2) When wearing the Class B version (no jacket) is it also with the bus driver cap?
3) I have an old service cap from LT days, but does the entire cap need to be replaced because of the field grade brim, or are brim swaps / embroideries a thing? Can't find...
Active duty/veterans, do you regret choosing the army branch?

I’m questioning joining the military, but unsure of what branch to choose. I like the idea of the army being that you are able to choose your MOS, and seems a little more fulfilling as opposed to being part of the “chair force”. But there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews, most of the positive reviews being with joining the airforce.
Is the airforce really full of lames? Do they genuinely have it...

Hello, I’m an Infantryman with 6.5 years in the R-Mee. I was lucky enough to get 1 combat deployment. Got the t-shirt, got the badge, and some fun memories. Now I’m currently a DASR (FML). My mental and physical health has been on a downward spiral for years after COVID and my divorce. I feel like a failure in all aspects of my life... as a leader, infantryman, husband, etc etc. I’m very...

Army still contributing 1% to TSP after 3 years AD.

Quick question,
I was under the impression that after 2 years of active duty service, the army would begin to match contributions up to 5%.
However, I recently checked my TSP and I’ve been only getting 1% match. I’m in my 3rd year active duty.
My current contributions are 30% to ROTH each month.
Is there just a delay? Will it be retroactively applied? Or is this something I need to bring up to...

On holiday/vacation right now, and the other day I was outside for a smoke, another gent at the same place came over and we started talking about the weather and other stuff. Suddenly he randomly says, "Are you in the Forces?" I was taken aback, but said I was, I asked how he worked it out, was it my tattoos? "No I can just tell who was in by the way they are."
He has had an interesting career.
