Errors in my Original Claim?
Posted on
In Aug 2019, I filed a claim for Tinnitus and Sleep Apnea, the latter of which I had recently been diagnosed with. I only filed because I had a baby coming and was buying a house, and on my realtor's advice, I used those circumstances to push for a quick decision. I received a letter dated 9/16/19 asking me to complete the application for benefits, and I received a decision letter on 9/30/19...
Diagnosis Received Not Listed in 38 CFR

Currently active duty, will file through BDD in a few months.
I have a diagnosis of “inadequate peristalsis” after a swallowing exam in the hospital. I cannot find a specific va rating for this, so am I out of luck for filing a claim? Or could it rated as something else?
This reddit has been incredibly resourceful and I plan on filing on my own when the time comes. Would it be appropriate to...

Submitted my claim Feb 27, went pending decision Feb 28th due to the rapid ready for decision program (pilot at the time) and has had zero movement since submittal date.
Ladies and gentlemen, bad luck with my local RO calling me for the virtual apts yesterday. Tried twice.
Well, picked a random RO, Wichita, KS and they actually called today. My god was it a good call. Guy dug deep into the claim,...

I’m at 80% and I’m sure this has been addressed before, does my spouse receive any benefits based on my rating? Thanks in advance.

Does your entire combat tour count as an “event” in the VA’s eyes?

Only I got in 1 firefight during my tour to Iraq (infantry 07-08) but I feel as though the whole tour gave me PTSD. The constant standing of post, foot patrols, always being on guard and staying vigilant. Finding caches that were supposed to be used on us, but found first. Waking up all of a sudden and rushing to throw gear on/never really sleeping fully (if that makes sense). I feel as though it...
I want to quit my job so badly (100% P&T)

Retired after 20 yrs and started my current job exactly a year ago today. I work for a huge company and have a very nice salary but I’ve never worked so hard in my life. I’m a walking ball of anxiety and ADHD (can’t focus when I’m anxious, get anxious because I can’t focus). I had anxiety while in service but not to this level.
Went to visit family but had to work the whole time and just kept...
Monthly Housing Allowance Rate Changes

I'm looking for more clarification on what the MHA policy is. I've been enrolled in school when the rating was $xxxx per month, and now it has decreased to $yyyy per month. Am I "grandfathered" into the old ratings? [link] [comments] |
Does backpay come in blocks?
Posted on
I've received a deposit from the VA but it's under half of what my backpay would be.
My letter said to expect funds in 7 to 10 days, it's been six days since my decision letter.
Should I be expecting more deposits or should I be concerned? Never been through this or worked closely enough with someone that has that I would know how it works.
