Yesterday my claim for TDIU due to PTSD was in gathering evidence. I originally filed back in May. I did my C&P a few weeks ago, and recently submitted a request to expedite due to financial issues. Simple questions

I have been seen twice at MH for depression related to divorce (2015), and anxiety due to work (2021). Both times I was medicated.

I have NOT had treatment since then, but in my head I'm still messed up. Do I need continuous treatment to claim VA Disability for MH? Or am I good to go (I retire in a year). TIA

I see on the wiki that you can apply for VA healthcare while on terminal leave (currently am for the next 30ish days), but you can't receive treatment until after ETS. That's fine, I just don't a lapse in coverage so I'd like to apply now.

That being said, under the "qualifying items", I can't check any of the boxes because I don't have a VA rating yet (BDD claim) and didn't serve in combat....
