Just wanted to say that I just got 30% last month, after 25 years of back and forth. I filed a Supplemental Claim as I was medboarded out and denied. I reached out to the VERA Los Angeles office via phone twice. Not so great experience and not super helpful. I am in San Diego for a couple weeks visiting family and made in person appointment there. Had complete opposite experience. I wanted to just thank them, as although still awaiting status, I got a heck of a lot more help in where my claim is at and best steps. It was so much appreciated and I really felt as if they truly cared. The person that helped me was a veteran and said that at their office, majority of employees that help there are veterans, whereas Los Angeles, maybe has 10-20%. That made a difference as they get where we are coming from to help us, instead of making me feel like a burden. I was in happy tears to get more guidance and understanding and sorry for rambling, but I highly recommend San Diego VERA office!
