Higher Level Review Question:

Can a higher level review reverse a 100% P&T rating decision if I’m only contesting the effective date that my retroactive payment was initially made against?
I was awarded 100% P&T by the VA with an effective date of 3/31/22, but it seemed to be a clerical error since my effective date was actually 3/31/21.
I don’t believe it can be reversed at first glance when I’m only challenging the...
It's only 20%, but it's something. Thanks to everyone posting tips and advice here, it really helps

Another question about SSA benefits for disabled vets
Posted on
The site to apply is being rather finicky. I'm about to appeal a decision that was denied for unemployment but wasn't approved for medical for some reason. Is going to my local SSA office more efficient? I'll probably have to anyway since the website doesn't want to cooperate. Any stories from people with experience or advice would be helpful.

National Archives - DD214

Hello everyone, I just joined this sub so I apologize if this has been asked before, but has anyone recently requested a copy of their DD214 from the National Archives? If so, how long should I expect them to take to send me a copy? Asking because I’m going through the VA claims process now and might be moving soon so I want to make sure it’s sent to the right place. Thank you!

Longer than usual preparation for decision?

Hey everyone,
Can I start with I understand I need to be patient, but I just want to gauge where everyone else is in the process and if this is happening to everyone.
I’m a veteran in Oregon with a current rating of 60% for serval issues. I recently applied for an increase because of some bad insomnia. My claim has been in the “preparation for a decision” phase for 60 days now, and I want to know...
