First time posting here. Nice to meet you all. Question about inquiring claim status through a VA representative.

My dad submitted his disability claim on April 19 this year. Finished his C&P Exam on June 6th, and that was about it. No status change other than ebenefits = Preparation for Decision, and VA.gov = Evidence gathering, review, and decision. I know this part is usually the longest wait.

So I decided to email the DAV we signed up with and asked if maybe they knew more than what was shown online for us and he called back and responded that "it is almost done, and should have a decision in 2 weeks. if not, reach out to them again."

I understand that everybody's timeline is different. But is this just a general response that the VA rep (DAV) give out or do they actually know when our decision will be made?
