If you were harassed and physically assaulted in service based on your race, is this considered MST?
Posted on
I got diagnosed with PTSD relatively after service due to getting physically beat up solely due to my race years ago. I called the VA to get more information on my claim status (waiting on C&P for this), and they said they sent a letter to the LHI company to get that scheduled for “MST”. Does getting harassed and assaulted physically due to race tie into the MST qualification? Should I call the VA...
STR vs. Medical Records ??
Posted on
Completing a BDD Claim right now and during the document upload section I'm a little confused.
The first portion is for Service Treatment Records, and then the next section is for other supporting documents but also lists Medical Records. Can someone explain the differences? I put diagnosis, meds, MH stuff all in the first category (STR) but now I'm confused. I want to make sure it's done right...
Duty to assist error found in HLR
Posted on
Basically what the title says. HLR just closed for Anxiety secondary to Tinnitus, and they said "The issue of anxiety condition was returned for correction of a duty to assist error in the prior decision. We failed to get an examination(s) and/or medical opinion(s). We will develop for a new examination."
Probably canned language but what does it mean? Should I expect another C&P exam?

50% on migraines.

I know what the rubric says but it could sometimes be left to interpretation. What did you do to show you eligible to get 50 percent for migraines. I showered proof that i had to miss work because of my migraines but was only awarded 30 percent. It seems like that’s the only difference between 30 to 50 percent. Any suggestions as i try to appeal?

I had my VR&E interview at the beginning of the month and was told by my interviewer that VR&E is for veterans who didn't have a degree. I have a Bachelor's so they denied my application. They went on to tell me that what they do is help prepare vets for the workforce and stated that, judging from what I told them, I was not ready to join the workforce (which is true).
I talked to someone at the...
DBQs from DAV

Just wondering what your experiences have been with requesting your DBQs from contractors from DAV specifically. My husband plans on reaching out tomorrow, but just wondering what the chances are he’ll actually get anywhere. He’s going to go ahead and submit the FOIA request but last time he did that for his service records, it took two years. So :/
