Illinois offers free college to dependents of 100% disabled veterans. The DEA also pays money (in your pocket) for dependents in school. Are you allowed to get both? Could you just pocket the DEA money?

I went in for a hip, knee, and ankle exam secondary to my low back, sciatica, and hallux valgus in my feet. I compensate in the way I walk and stand for those primary injuries.

My husband is a Vet (1976-80) Air Force. Does VA have any Life insurance policies? I’m not sure Term Life or Whole Life , I don’t know difference. I’m not covered to receive any benefits if my husband passes. He receives OPM/from FAA pension but did not elect to pay for any life benefits

If any of you have had a “suspense date…” How accurate was it? My claim has been in evidence gathering for almost a year, and I called VERA and they told me my suspense date is Sept 10. But they can just keep extending thirty days every time the deadline comes right??
