So as the title says, we are in a bit of a bind here. Ive been helping my fiancé with his claim for the past 8 months and we finally got a PTSD diagnosis from his VA Psych. That triggered a C&P exam despite not having filed the claim yet (we filed intent back in November ‘21).

The evening before the exam he attempted to end his life, and was transported to the VA ER early the day of, resulting in missing the C&P. He is safe, under a 72 hour hold, but could be released as early as Monday. This is his 2nd attempt in 7 months, and his 4th involuntary hold for attempts in as many years. My fear is two-fold. That if he is released on Monday without a plan he will attempt again, and that he missed his appointment and how that will impact his claims process.

Any thoughts or ideas on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated. Though I have never posted here, you all have been an immense help with the claims process.
