I work in system building for veteran non-profits and put together various programs for transitioning service members.

This is a question I have been thinking about: not “are you ready” or “do the checklist”, but literally what are some fears and trepidations? Do you have any?

Edit: a few things piss me off. But one thing that I can’t stand is when a joe volunteers to work on the weekend or something of that sort, and ask the PL for a comp day or two and they respond with “let me talk to the PSG to see what they say”. No sir. Stop being a pussy, this is your platoon. SFC dickhead is going to bring up how they work even on weekends and they don’t get comp days

It makes no sense, a soldier gets married and before they can even file for their housing allowance they have to be cleared out of the barracks.
