Just last year I re-enlisted to reclass. 4 year TIS married E-4 (no kids), should make E-5 soon. Former 11b -> new 35T. Obviously made the switch to learn a marketable new skill & set myself up for transition back to civilian life. I’m about halfway through the school house atm, my ETS is NOV2026. So quite a ways off but I’m already saving & planning my transition now since last time I was so unprepared. What are the pros & cons of switching to guard or reserve vs getting out and just being a full blown civilian again? Specifically for a 35T with a security clearance.
