Vietnam: Huey, chinhook, cobra Cold War: f4 phantom, f14 tomcat and f15 over f16 since we wanted more air superiority then. Desert storm: little bird, Blackhawk and Apache Iraq-now: a-10 thunderbolt, f18 hornet and f35. Experimental 60s:sr-21....

I might be joking the Marines here after high school, and to me it certainly doesn’t matter which branch I join into. But I am curious as to which branch (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, etc) is better in terms of benefits and not which uniform looks the coolest.

When you joined was it everything you thought it would be? Worse? Better? Do you regret it? Why?
