When you joined was it everything you thought it would be? Worse? Better? Do you regret it? Why?

Edit: Guess I’ll add, I’m not in the military, always wanted to be, decided on other things instead. Thanks for the responses though, I enjoy hearing them, good or bad. I’ll go back to the shadows lurking in this sub lol.
