Good afternoon everyone. Quick question about the hiring process for contractor / GS. It asks if you are claiming veterans preference 10 points 30% SC or more. Currently right now I am doing my BDD claim and have yet to receive a rating, though I am expecting to get it within the next 2 months or so, is it possible to get that veterans preference letter or form or whatever it is prior to getting out? Like can I ask the VA to give me like a tentative letter due to wanting to apply for jobs or do I have to shut up and wait for my rating/compensation.

Even though I don't know my rating, I am almost positive ( fingers crossed ) that I am at the least 70%
