Veterans in California Bill SB 1357 is currently Pending with 10 yes to 0 No

I recently read a post on Facebook that California was trying to pass a bill that would exempt veterans with 100% full from property tax. I thought the person was spreading misinformation. I checked it online and it is true, there is a bill pending currently in California that not only applies to a person with 100% disability ( SB 1357) but also to anyone with any rating (lower exemptions SB 1073 ).
I don't want to get my hopes up but hope this passes !!!
" This bill would exempt from taxation property owned by, and that constitutes the principal place of residence of, a veteran, the veteran's spouse, or the veteran and the veteran's spouse jointly, if the veteran is 100% disabled. The bill would provide an unmarried surviving spouse a property exemption in the same amount that they would have been entitled to if the veteran was alive and if certain conditions are met. "
Currently, there is 10 yes - 0 No
