Question on development letter:
Posted on
There is a note about how the VA has sent me a development letter. I never received any correspondence from the VA after I filed my claim. I started a claim online as a way to show an 'intent to file'. I received a letter from the VA and a paper claim form at that time. Since that time, I worked with a VSO affiliated with the American Legion. The VSO turned the paperwork over to the American Legion who hand-carried it over to the VA on July 10th. My claim is marked received and moved to initial review on July 10th. On July 20th, my claim moved to Evidence gathering. (See image 1) The VA's online system still thinks I haven't filed my claim yet (See image 2). I can't find any documents online that would tell me what and when they sent me a development letter. Is the system referring to the initial claim start/intent to file? Or is there another letter that I never received? Would my VSO be able to figure it out with all their extra rights in the system? I don't want my claim to be stuck because I was supposed to respond to something I didn't receive. I have not yet been contacted for any C & P Exams. Also, if and when I am rated... will the VA see my intent to file information that dates back to 12/7/22? [link] [comments] |
