Need help with assault incident

Warning: discussion of sexual assault
Throwaway used out of fear
I’m extremely nervous to say this, but here goes. I was drugged and raped several years ago in the military.
I’m beyond the point where I think I need specialized help - someone who understands the military. VA seems to be the best option, but I don’t ever hear good things, but I’m willing give it a try.
I read that VA has programs specifically for MST, but what is it? Counseling? Meds? Can anyone point me in the correct direction to get started? I’m confused by forms and processes. I want to ensure I don’t screw something up and miss out on getting help. I don’t expect you all to type out a ton, so if you know of any non-VA resources about VA process that are great, please point me there.
I also had a few questions specific to my situation. I don’t want to disclose too much, but if someone could help with these:
Is there a deadline? This happened years ago.
Do I have to name the person when I speak to someone? I recently found out they live not too far, and I would rather let sleeping dogs lie.
Could I lose a trusted credential for seeking help? I cannot afford to lose it right now.
Could I get in trouble for the fact that I accepted an alcoholic drink but was under age at the time? Could I have my discharge reclassified as OTH or dishonorable and have to pay back previous education payments?
Any help would be appreciated.
