Need advice for upcoming C&P
Posted on
Going in for some appeals and supplementals and want to make sure I don't screw the pooch on this.
My main points are MH, eye issues, respiratory, and whatever it is for a shave chit. I did write a service letter as why I think everything is service related, but want to make sure I say the right things at the exam to be taken seriously.
MH: got denied because "never complained while in service", despite VA stating plenty of evidence. So I'm gonna try to get it as a supplemental for my migraines (30%) and other physical pains. Obviously don't got in there all happy and cheery, but any other advice to make sure they take me seriously? I overheard the examiner the first time say he was writing up a denial because I seemed "happy" during his exam (I was excited cause I waited a year to get an exam).
Eye issues: not really sure how to go about this. Had the exam originally, was told my eye is covered in scars and is missing a chunk, but again- never complained in service therefore denied. I filed for eye issues within a month of my EAS.
Respiratory: same denial despite evidence BUT this time there were complaints while in service! But they still said I didn't complain??? They never did a test on me or anything. This is being filed under the PACT ACT.
Shaving: examiner straight up told me I'm not suffering from it cause they don't see anything wrong with my skin. I hadn't shaved really in a year BECAUSE of the issues it causes? So should I go in after dry shaving that morning just so they see it? Issue started after a few years of being exposed to shit that fucked with my skin- again a PACT ACT claim.
I'm sorry if this seems like I'm being greedy, but they denied the big things that bother me (MH, eye, and respiratory) while approving little things. I want ones that truly impact me to be covered for future medical reasons.
