When does it get better?

Every day I feel like I bend over backwards trying to do right by soldiers, find solutions to issues, stay late at work and it’s still never enough for people. Every day disgruntled Soldiers, ncos, and officers come in my shop mouthing off for shit that is out of our control, or shit that their own leadership fucked up. I commissioned late in the game so I have some time under my belt but ppl see...
Mental health and pet loss

My "at home" battle buddy, crossed the bridge yesterday. He was the most bad ass Sphynx cat. I was receiving mental health therapy before this. Im so devastated losing him. We went though the classic devorce, deployment, pcs little dude was so excited when I would come home. He was my ride or die, and he's gone. One of my anchors to keep me safe was him. My determination to live is STRONGER that...

Hi Y’all!! I’m a 21 year old 92Y (Unit Supply) SPC stationed at Fort Drum. !! I solely manage and lead the Department of Defense Bone Marrow Registry program, AKA Salute to Life, here at Drum. I help soldiers, their dependents, retirees, and DOD Civilian personnel join the national pool of potential bone marrow donors to directly save the lives of cancer patients.

The value of a 3.5 GPA

I am an enlisted Soldier and I am about to complete my Bachelors with a 3.49 GPA. Would it be beneficial to retake one class (pay 1.2K out of pocket) to get over a 3.5? Will this make any difference if I decide to go Officer or Warrant, or when I am choosing a Master's program?
I am tempted to do it just because I have come so far and I can say I got the 3.5, but I don't think it makes any...
Imagine clearing a village with bolt action rifles or only having 8 rounds per clip

Idk how those troops (Korean war, WW2, WW1, etc) did it. Room clearing with a saw & m4 is scary enough, but with an M1?? Hell nah

With so few soldiers willing to raise their hand, you all need to realize the leverage you now have. With the old GWOT guard leaving, it’s your time to make the Army what you want it to be.
I find it unbelievable that as a whole we are still doing collective PT in the morning.
Walk into any SF group area you’ll see crickets at 0630.
Why? Because PT is part of their work day and most always on...
I saw this in an official army commercial and I was wondering why he is wearing two different ranks on his uniform? Can someone explane this to me?

Update: Cleared for Army!

I posted in the past about my Rhabdomyolis (legs) from last year and how it was talking a long time to get cleared.... Well, I'm cleared!!! I've been biking as my primary mode of transportation and my legs are stronger than before. The PCP that cleared me warned me of the risks, but as long as I continue to take care of myself I will be fine. In basic, I'll just have to be prepared and constantly...

This happened last week.
Soldier got injured at PT at Tradoc unit. I helped them work out their injury so they wouldn’t have to go to the hospital. Basic sports medicine stuff to help them put weight on their foot.
I communicated this with my first line that this wouldn’t put me a couple minutes late, but at least both of us would show up for work instead of being down a soldier.
This wasn’t...
