Every day I feel like I bend over backwards trying to do right by soldiers, find solutions to issues, stay late at work and it’s still never enough for people. Every day disgruntled Soldiers, ncos, and officers come in my shop mouthing off for shit that is out of our control, or shit that their own leadership fucked up. I commissioned late in the game so I have some time under my belt but ppl see a bar on my chest and try me every day, flexing their little “8 years of service” in my face. I take it to the chin because ppl just want someone to take out their frustration on, but shit man, it’s annoying. It’s crazy because I do what I do because I care about Soldiers but it’s never enough. I got 9 years and some change left but there are definitely days I wonder if it’s worth it. Money is cool, but I only have a few “it is what it is” left in the bank.
