If you want to go, go. If you don’t…..you shouldn’t fucking have to be threatened with additional bullshit, or reprisal.

I simply don’t like being around alcohol. I’m sorry. I don’t. I’m sober now and don’t like being around that shit. I even avoid eating at bars and pubs. Why do I have to be punished and berated by senior leadership over it? I’m not shitting on the ball. I’m not telling others it’s stupid and they shouldn’t go (in fact , if they can handle their alcohol and like having a good time, they should go!)

It doesn’t make you a better leader if you go. Senior leaders need to fucking STOP threatening others that it’ll hurt their reputation if they don’t go. Report that shit. Also, stop fucking dudes who don’t go with additional bullshit duties.
