Soldier Still Positive After 5 Days
Posted on
One of my Soldiers tested positive for Covid 5 days ago yesterday, but is still positive according to rapid tests. My squad leader is furious that I told my Soldier to stay home until negative. Mind you, this is 2 days before block leave, and there are no tasks for my joes to complete the rest of this week. Theres plenty of paperwork I have to complete, so I can’t even train with them as much as I would like either. But I don’t see why it’s important to my SL to make him sit on his phone at company, risking everyone else’s safety TWO days before leave, versus sitting on his phone at home risk free.
And I understand what the rules say, I get that, but I feel as NCOs we should be able to apply some common sense in situations.
Any suggestions on how to handle this, or at least thoughts?
