Long story short I failed a UA for THC. I wanted to join SF before enlisting but I was too young, I enlisted in 2021 as a 25B. Fast forward two years, I failed a UA. When speaking to my section leader and my commander they both expressed they didn’t want me out of the army and both agreed I was a good soldier regardless of the UA. I am coming to the end of my contract (not counting IRR) in about a year and I have a few options outside of the military but I still want to join special forces so I want to know if anyone’s known, or heard, of anyone attending selection after a failed UA. I’ve heard and read stories of people attending and passing selection after an Article 15 in regards to things like punching an LT in the face so I figured I’d ask even if I think my chances are next to zero.
