Handshake hero.

In light of the new sub rules, I have "written" a new story. I present for your enjoyment the tale of a handshake. (Graphic scenes not included because it's not Thursday. Please use your imagination and fill in the blanks for yourself.)
I remember the day like it was yesterday. It was hot, dusty, and we were all tired from days of patrolling the rugged terrain of Afghanistan. I was a lowly...

So back in 2001, i was a constable at the signals company, that had a Dolphin as their logo.
At that time, a telephone company also had a dolphin as their logo, so we were called "The Sonofon Company"
Our sister company, had an ice bear...

This is a story as old as the hills, I'm pretty sure it's been being told in some form or another since Pontius Pilate first saluted the Emperor! Anyway, it made me laugh when I first heard it way back when I joined up in 97 so I thought I'd repeat it here for your pleasure. Or displeasure, whichever takes your fancy!
So Dave (not his real name, although it might have been) was a real character,...

This is a raw story. I have not had time to fully digest the stories we all shared tonight but I keep coming back to …
Iced coffee black, sesame bagel cream cheese…
Those are the last words I heard of the conversation as we, the die-hards, finished our last conversation of the evening and meandered off to our rooms and they echoed in my head. 3 guys in one building and me in another; Such are the...

Due to circumstances outside of our control, and our lawyers have advised us to say little more about it, for OPSEC, PERSEC, and the preservation of our own asses, r/MilitaryStories is now reserved for fictional stories ONLY.
Please see Executive Order 12958 1.6 ¶d-6.
All stories posted must contain a very brief but very graphic men-only love scene starting with an aggressive handshake. This...
Another accidental titty story

It was August 1984. M-16 qualifying day at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. It was fucking hot. Miserable, sticky, sweat dripping in your eyes hot.
I went through AF basic during the years when in an attempt to save money, the AF had installed .22 long rifle conversion kits into its M-16s. As anyone who's ever used one of these abominations knows, they malfunction a lot.
My flight had 3...
Short story about the time I accidentally grabbed some titties

I was an Air Force weather guy assigned to the Army. As part of those billets, AF people had to go to specialized training at Camp Blanding in Florida. It’s basically a “Diet Infantry” school with weapons familiarization from the M9 up to the Mk. 19, tactical driving, MOUT ops, CLS, and other nonsense.
The idea is to get AF folks up to speed on how to shoot, move, and communicate with our...
In Memoriam - /u/DittyBopper

Good Evening /r/militarystories,
It is with a very sad heart that one of our beloved users, /u/dittybopper, passed away yesterday. For those who don't know, Ditty was an Army Vietnam Veteran, serving from 1965-1969. If you can't tell, he was a morse code interceptor (Military Intelligence) and was instrumental in helping find/detect NVA in Vietnam. He was an avid poster in /r/militarystoriesand on...

While I do have my own service stories I figured I'd relay this on told to me by a great man, we'll call him SSG Shawn.
So quick side note, I serve in the Navy so I'm not sure what the Army calls their watch standers so I'm just going to refer to them by our terms.
So as anyone who's been deployed knows, the camp has Roaming Watchstanders at night. What some may not know is that a Roamer will have...

(Context) 2016 during the Raqqa liberation campaign, I was with YPJ international. The girl with me was another international fighter that I’m going to call “Jessica” just in case. But anyway story time
Jessica was our driver, and we were waiting for our convoy commander to give us the go ahead to push out. We sat for about 20 minutes while our VC relayed traffic over comms. I was behind the...
