Just separated from active duty Coast Guard in May. I’m getting back into the reserves so I can make E-5 and apply for OCS once I get enough Cleps. I’m not sure how long it’s gonna take to get accepted and I figured I’ll keep working on my degree until I get accepted but I’ve already submitted a VA claim. I’m working on my appointments for my rating now but I’m not sure if I should cancel the claim now so it doesn’t bite me in my ass once I’m commissioned in a few years or if it doesn’t matter. Anyone have insight on this?
