Sorry this is so long. My dad served in the Vietnam War. He passed away a few months ago from Pancreatic Cancer. The VA hospital put him on hospice, so he was able to pass away at home.
After he passed, my mom submitted the paper work, but they denied it all. They wouldn’t even pay the measly $200 or whatever it is to help cover burial that I thought all vets get? I’m so confused as to why he’s (my mom) isn’t getting anything from them. (They had a list of criteria such as he had to pass away in the Veterans Hospital to get his burial fee, etc). Also, he had an Agent Orange case he was trying for, but they’re not doing anything for that either because it’s been more than a year since he filed, I guess?
