Super happy, filed beginning of may, exam on may 22nd. Decision July 5th. I picked thru my medical records and uploaded all documents that pertained to my issues. I didn’t go into the exam room demanding a wheel chair. I was very honest with the nurse practitioner examiner. Told her I’m good now but there’s times where I can’t move, even told her I don’t need a percentage, I just need to get this...
Supplemental Claim Back Pay
Posted on
Does anyone have knowledge on whether you get Supplemental Claim back pay? Originally filed in 2019 (AUG) and missed appts due to COVID and getting activated as a Reservist. Came back off Active Duty in July 2021. Filed in FEB 22 for things from that AD period and a supplemental for the stuff from 2019.
I am figuring it’s a long shot to get any kind of back pay, but just wanted to see if anyone...
I am shaking right now I am so happy and grateful. I am a testament that if I can learn about this process anyone can. I spent HOURS AND HOURS watching combat craig, dewayne kimble and VA Claims insider and spent hours looking through this thread. Ever...

Do I need dot do anything to schedule an appointment for my P&T label?
Posted on
I recently got out with a rating of 100%. Will the VA automatically assess me for P&T or do I need to take action to prove that my conditions are not / prob won’t improve? Or will they automatically check up on me at which point I can get the P&T decision.
Obviously, I am assuming like everything else it’s prob on me to make it happen. If so, when and where should I start?
Delaying 100% Student Loan discharge.

How do I verify I have delayed the automatic process? I don't have any prior loans but plan on continuing my education past undergrad indefinitely.
I called the number on https://www.nelnet.com/forgiveness#disability
and was able to request it.
I still have full Gi bill and hazlewood act so I don't have any plans on any loans at the moment. So it seems I am not able to setup an account without...
Today marks 1 year in PFD for my MH/PTSD supplemental claim :-(

I’ve called everyone under the sun and each time they act very surprised it’s taken this long. They all “put notes” in to their supervisor and promise to call me back, but never do. I sure hope all this waiting does not end with my claim being denied. Welp just had to vent….. I pray no one else is in the same boat as me.
Initial claim submitted Oct 2020
Denied March 2021 due to no diagnosis

How do I apply for education benefits for disability?
Posted on
I've already used my Post 9/11 GI bill, but I was told that I may qualify for additional benefits as a 100% disabled vet. Which form should I be using to apply for these benefits? On the VA site, it keeps taking me to the Spouse and Dependent form.

How does back pay work?
Posted on
Long time lurker first post. Was in the Corps from 2001 to 2011 and just filed my first claim a few weeks ago. Working with VSO my intent to file was June 11th 2021. After the year of covid I got all the necessary paperwork and evidence for a pretty strong claim. Filed on June 9 2022. Is backpay calculated to your intent to file date or is it from when you file? Or neither? Little clarification...
