I am hesitant but I need to know. If a parent has a tragic accident and becomes deceased from this accident while I was serving, could that be a reason why somebody develops PTSD?

And if a person is diagnosed with PTSD from this event, would that be considered a service connected event?

Im having some MH issues and trying to nail down why I feel like I feel. Im also trying to figure if I could get some disability I could minimize the stress and anxiety work plays into my everyday efforts to heal. Especially from the situation which I experienced with my father accidently and tragically passing unexpectantly many years ago. I truly havent healed from.
