Kinda Numb... TY VB Community
Posted on
Very thankful today. VA approved my increase from 30-70% w/TDIU option (probably didn't explain that TDIU correct) - so numbing. It's huge to finally get the number to somewhat match the rating % after such a long time. There's a bit of hope in not having to worry about working as much when shit gets crazy and I want to choke a neighbor, or finally knowing I can dedicate more time to therapy without having to ask my wife to help even more to pay bills. There's absolutely some relief. Good amount of shame every 3-4th thought too. It's been 21 years since I got out. It's been painful. Lost more then anyone should ever have to loose. I have said a lot of bad things about the VA, and some of the VSO's and County VBA's I worked with. But right now I'm so thankful for the VA just finally getting it close to right, and finally being fucking heard. It's like for once, I'm not completely incensed by the VA. This community is incredible. Love seeing people getting help, and I think we all just want to see everyones story be a little shorter and maybe sweeter... None of us ever wanted to be here in the first place, but many of us are happy this place exists... Remember, the VA owes each and every one of us for our god damn worst day! I hope each and every one of you achieve what you deserve with your claims. Keep fighting Vets. 🦾 [link] [comments] |
