last November I went to the hospital after falling from a ladder. I was there three days and then I got sent home. I called the VA hotline within a few hours of being at the hospital and was told everything was good to go from the VA hotline. I am 90% disabled so everything should be covered (I was 60% Disability when incident happened). I just had a creditor call me and say if I dont pay $1600 then it will hit my credit. I wasn't aware that I needed to pay anything. shouldn't I be fully covered through the VA? I dont even have a bill to look at about it. who do I need to contact at the VA to get this resolved? Now that a creditor has the bill, is it even to late to fight?
