Called the VA to get a status update on my claim and the lady said they just received my service treatment records on Tuesday. I was confused because I submitted those back when I originally started this process on April 7th. She said they won’t start processing the claim until they receive a certified copy. I had no idea. I’ve been in “preparation for decision” since July 6th and thought they didn’t need anything else.

Not sure this is helpful to anyone. Just something I was not aware of.
