Diagnosis during C&P
Posted on
I need advice on my situation, I was recently got service connected for a combined GERD-Gastritis and was given 10% for it. When I resubmitted my rhinitis etc. claim this year due to the pact act, the VBA decided to send me to QTC for another exam for GERD and gastritis again. Its hard to get help and advice from my VSO so I went to VRE and they advised me to just go to my C&P exam. On my C&p exam I presented my case to the NP, at that time, she told me that i have IBS base on my STR and IMO and how treatment for my Gastrisis changed my bowel movement, she said she will write down on my c&p report. My question is, should I add IBS as a secondary claim due to my Gastritis NOW while the ball is rolling or should I wait for the VA decision (I’m not really sure if she did put it on my exam). But whether she did it or not I will be asking for a copy of the exam. I have never been diagnosed with it but my PCP is already suspecting that I have IBS.
