Back Pay Question
Posted on
I was doing some research on how to claim VA disability for hypertension and coronary artery disease (CAD), and I found the FAQ that says I can file for back pay for the 3 months after a heart attack. I had a heart attack 7 months after leaving active duty 10 years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I had a disability manifest within one year of leaving active duty, it's presumed to be service-connected; therefore, I don't need a nexus. So, I’m thinking I can get CAD service connected AND get back pay for the 3 months following my heart attack. Does anyone know if this is true or not? [link] [comments] |
