For the love of god, if you’re a new airman at a conus base, GET A CAR. I’m not talking about a 30K mustang or some shit, get a 4K shitbox Toyota that runs and use it.

Our shop has 4 guys who don’t have cars, which means they have to bum rides off of the rest of us. Which is no problem, until 4 MONTHS pass and not a single one has even attempted to get a car. One of which doesn’t even have his license yet, at 25 years old… we’ve offered him help in getting lessons and taking the test but has shown 0 interest. The second one of the 2 of us who still live on base with them have something else to do or be in the morning it’s a pure scramble to find these guys a ride to work. Which means a SSGT is now late to work because he has to shuttle over 4 guys like it’s middle school.

Is there any AFI saying we have to help these guys get to work everyday? What would you guys do? This is getting beyond ridiculous.
