I'm looking to buy a home at my next duty station with the intention to rent out after I leave. I hear a lot people say they try to stay away from the Army after work, but I can't discount the convenience of only have to drive 5-10 minutes to work as opposed to 30-40 minutes. Some people want to live closer to areas of entertainment as opposed to work, but is driving an extra 5 hours each week worth the 2 hours you save on the weekends, assuming commute is 40 minutes each way?
