Turns out naming your newborn baby the exact name of your Battalion Commander is not a good idea

Alright so my Battalion Commander and Sergeant Major send out an email to the entire battalion when someone has a baby. Usually the email looks like this:
“We would like to congratulate SGT Smith on the birth of his newborn son! He weighed 8 Lbs, 5 ounces, and was named [First, Middle, Last]. Congratulations!”
Some Specialist in my unit named his son the exact same name as the Battalion Commander. His name is the BC’s First, Middle, and Last name, then the Soldier’s last name.
I just don’t understand why he would do this. The email that our BC sent out looked ridiculous. Our 1SG was furious saying he can’t wait for him to return from paternity leave.
I bet he returns from paternity leave with a tattoo of the battalion commander since he apparently loves him so much. I just hope it’s not on his neck. This Soldier needs help.
