Need some advice from people who have ETS. Really scared about getting out because I don't feel I have any skills outside of the Army because I joined at 18. I'm an E5 stationed in Hawaii and I hate my unit so much. I have big goals like SFAS and Ranger school but it all seems so stupid now. I kinda want to backpack around the world and live the young life I was never able to have. Have the freedom and express myself however I want. Given the current economic crisis I'm scared that I won't be able to afford civilian life and have no safety net to fall back on, I also have no family to fall back on, other than my wife. Was hoping for some words of encouragement from people who have gotten out. Was it the right choice?
