I love being directed to nameless, faceless JPPSO/DFAS email drop boxes in order to find where my refund is. If the Army overpays you 50 dollars they’ll spend hundreds of GS salaried hours tracking it down but, should the Army owe you 8 grand and you ask for a verification that your resubmission (which was due to a JPPSO counselor) has been received, the response is “🦗.”

Maybe I should text my old squad leader and shoot it up the chain. Until then I’ll twiddle my thumbs hoping and praying the money I was going to use on closing cost gets back to me before my six month lease is up.
