We're doing a 4-day FTX. Whenever we leave our sleeping area we are expected to have our full body armor on. On day 2 our 1SG did a morale event where whoever could hold a plank the longest could go straight home. Anyways I was able to hold it for the longest out of my platoon and I went home. It wasn't until I threw my ruck in my car that I noticed my plates under the seat, I'm 100% sure everybody had their plates on except for me. And I'm absolutely sure because to participate in the event the 1SG said he will be checking everyone to make sure they have plates and if someone is missing a plate "everyone will pay" Don't know how to feel about it. Even I thought i had my plates on. He never checked me, he never checked anyone. just had to let this off my chest
