Dumbest thing the Army ever tried to make you do?

TLDR: medical chapter due to COPD. Unit shammed hard and I couldn't clear on time. They made me wear my OCPs the Monday after ETSing on Sunday.
Don't mean to show out, but long story short:
My toxic commander put a no leave memo for COVID in for me on my way out. I had an honorable discharge and plenty of soldiers were taking terminal leave during the time. I know because I was the outgoing leave clerk.
Anyways, I needed an escort to help me clear post since I was a medical chapter. HOWEVER , because of COVID, and the commander never being around to sign my shit(1SG was bitter too because the CPT was a pain the ass), to my escort not being available because he was being pulled for BS tasks, I ETS'd before I could clear.
My ETS date was on a Sunday and they told me to come in on MONDAY to clear IN UNIFORM. Only reason I was showing up was because my team leader/escort was a friend of mine and I didn't wanna get him chewed out. At first I showed up in civilian clothes and my OIC and Commander told me to leave and get into uniform even though I was a civilian.
So like a dumbass, I went to my apartment, changed and went back on post. Putting the uniform on again as a civilian made me feel horrible. Like a fraud. Anyways, I showed up to SRP so I could clear and one of my buddies from separations (former SSG in my unit before ETSing. We gamed a lot) was like "Why the fuck are you in uniform? You ETS'd already." I explained him the situation and he told me to go home and he'll handle it.
Any situations similar to mine? I'd love to hear about it.
