I took over a platoon about 45 days ago now. All 4 squad leaders got moved, MEB, ets, ops, intra post and the outgoing psg went tdy. 1st sausage went on emergency leave and I quickly and/or slowly uncovered a mountain of overdue ncoers, unsubmitted awards, behind on pcs/ets awards, no counselings. I’m getting held to the fire now that 1SGs back to get it caught up, but my take is it’s his mess and all of the outgoing 6s shouldn’t be leaving with awards and ncoers im reviewing, writing, correcting, etc.

Do I burn these dudes? Or fix it and create a functional platoon from the ashes? Any advice that’s not IG or an avenue. CSM was a dead end and BDE CSM said grind it out but I’m already burnt out
