I’m interested in cold bagging in the snow/sleeping out in the snow with no tent in California in the future. How can you prevent frostbite if your nose is exposed or do you just keep it covered and have your face breathing out in the open?

What do you recommend for sleeping bags and anything to keep it waterproof and keep you warm?

I’ve only slept in tents while in Alaska minus a few field problems sleeping in the open with my face inside the bag
