Army Sharp! Is a Sexual Harassment victim still considered a victim if they report the incident after the expired time?
Posted on
I lost a Sharp sexual harassment case against an officer that was fraternizing with my roommate that’s a specialist, he was in our room without me knowing and he saw me naked while I was undressing. because it was reported 10 days after the expiration of time to report it. (70 days)
I kept telling investigators I was scared, embarrassed to report it to my toxic leadership that was friends with the officer and I was trying to protect my roommate but they eventually took advantage of their fraternizing and it began to disrupt their platoon and mine with the favoritism between them and our leaderships favoritism towards them and I was the only witness at the time to their fraternization.
As soon I reported it to my leadership they began to retaliate and protected the officer and my ex roommate. To the point where they smeared my name, assassinated my character, discredited me and made me look like a vengeful and hateful person who was bulling my ex roommate and I just lost my rank for it. I had soldiers statements that proved they were fraternizing and statements about the toxic leadership but no one was held accountable and my sexual harassment complaint was invalidated.
When I reported the incident to SHARP they didn’t tell me it was expired or else I would’ve never bothered reporting it and experiencing retaliation from my toxic leadership.
Is there anyone that can explain what I did wrong and why no one helped me. I’m currently in Kuwait… I don’t trust anyone anymore and I just want to go home.
