Many people tend to bring up that the Army blows because of the shitty barracks, DFAC, leadership etc. Which don’t get me wrong, they are very big issues. But I think a very underrated reason why the Army sucks is the sheer amount of bureaucracy involved in just about any admin action.

OCONUS leave forms, packets, schools, 4187s, just about any admin action has like 10 different personnel and offices it has to pass through with its own individual bullshit to make you question even wanting to do the action in the first place. A simple 4187 to my BC needs to get routed through 5 different channels before it even makes it to him for signature. And each channel can simply kick it back for whatever reason they think of or sit on the action for however long they choose.
