Why didnt The US ever confront Pakistan about supporting The Taliban during the Afghanistan war?
Posted on
Pakistan is supposed to be a close US ally in the middle east. We supported them, armed them and supplied them with Billions since 1947 but they leave a huge paper trail from arming/training the Taliban during the Afghanistan War. Also growing terrorist organizations, radicalized militias to fight the US. There is proof of all of this. The Taliban even said this. Years later, they were allowing Bin Laden to take refuge in their country. Pakistan never admitted this but it was always pretty well known.
Why hasn't The US ever confronted them about this? Why are we turning the blind eye? They clearly hate us.
