Taking a Private Military Contractor course for "fun". Who is the typical customer profile for these type of courses?

If you want to be a security contractor and have been in the military, you probably don't need these courses. If you take these courses because don't have experience you'll probably have a bad time as a contractor? I'm probably wrong, but I'm not sure who would take these type of courses.
I'm a civilian (from Europe), ex-military, missing a bit of action and I already forgot everything (it was 15 years ago...) So I thought, for 750€ I can have a tactical shooting weekend, or for 1500€ I can get one week of training for private military contractor. It includes accommodation, food and training, so I think it's not a bad deal even if I don't want to be a security contractor. What do you think? Or, could I get some casual jobs during my holidays of my 9-5 job? (I have 35 days a year of leave).
PS. I can post the link of the courses if you need more context...
