Can anyone who has worked on/with or just is more knowledgeable about this explain *exactly how* the explosive based ejection mechanism of cluster munitions work? The general gist is obvious, IK, small explosive charge pushes onto a plate that pushes the submunitions out... Today, I went outside to do shit in the hot sun. I completely forgot I have this condition where only half of my face turns red and sweats in hot and active environments for me. Haven’t had that happen since I was like 12. Ended up happening today in this 100 degree ass heat

How is it for young couples in the military?

I’m planning on joining the marines, talking to a Recuiter in 2 days but I’ve had my girlfriend for 3 years(high school sweethearts) who I do plan on marrying but I’m afraid of all the horrors stories on spouses cheating or finding somebody else in the military. How true is it? ( we both believe we’re soulmates and she’s not happy about the marines but supports it)
At 35 and civ employee (af; 3yrs), what are the pros and cons to joining the reserves?

Minimum; I’ll put in 6 years and gain; veteran preference in usajobs, qualify for gi bill (for kids), gain more work experience for the af.
Maximum; 20+ years, become a SME in both civ and mil career (both sides of the military coin), qualify for tricare, get military pension (based on points).
Besides the slight interruption to my personal life, is there any benefits or drawbacks that I’m not...
