I'm curious, how the design goals of a shoe meant for such serious business, differ from regular shoes. Particularly compared to different sport shoes, that are also meant for intensive use.

So, what are they like? Heavy? Hot? Flexible or hard? Thick or thin sole? What's the arch support like, if they have any at all? What's the traction like? Anything you can think of, I'd like to hear it.
