Even the officers lined up to hear my CD

So this story takes place in 1997.
I was a conscript back in those days, just serving my mandated time, voluntarily.
I was in the HF Comms unit, in our division HQ battalion.
This was at the past halfway point of our training, and we were out on a week long exercise. Normally my vehicle would be posted out in the wilderness with a company, but this time, i was put inside the HQ stationed at a Garrison. So the entire week i got great food from the cafeteria and the best hot showers from the barracks (had the entire 24 man room for myself and their showers.)
Anyways, we are a 2 man crew, taking turns sitting in the vehicle, listening for comms. But as we were a backup unit to the main comms system, we didn't have much to do except "sending regular comms from a playbook". Boring AF.
But a Danish funny music group had just released a new album, and it had the funniest sketches on them.
So during my break, i got a lift downtown and bought their new CD.
And since i had stocked my vehicle with a laptop, speakers and other goodies, i could now listen to this new CD.
And i had a blast. All the tracks were amazing and the sketch... O M G... funniest shit i had ever heard.
it's basically a story about how a special forces unit tracks down papa smurf, murders all the smurfs and takes on papa smurf in hand to hand combat.
But there's a specific part, that just stood out, and that was when the unit kicked in the door to the smurf party and basically shouts "Smurf bastards, EAT LEAD... RATATATTATATATAT"
I started playing this for my friends, and soon word spread.
First the sergeants in my unit came around to listen to the tracks, and everyone was just laughing their asses off.
Then even the officers came knocking and politely asked to hear this too. Everyone was just so nice and having fun together.
The sun was shining, and life was good.
now i'll leave you with the sound bit. IF you want to hear the entire thing, it's there too.
