US Military Reports No Combat Fatalities in March (First Time Since 2007)

As the U.S. closes the chapter on the long struggle in Afghanistan, the military marked a major milestone: no combat deaths in March, for the first month in more than seven years. The figure is especially remarkable when we remember the U.S. military is an all-volunteer force, representing a fraction of the overall population yet taking on tremendous risk.
